On December 31, the event "Happy New Year Debrecen 2026" will be held at Kossuth Square. During the program, from 20:00 on December 31, 2025, Wednesday, until the end of the event on January 1, 2026, Wednesday, the 1 and 2 trams will operate in two sections between Nagyállomás – Városháza – Nagyállomás and Kálvin tér – Egyetem/Doberdó utca – Kálvin tér. The 1 and 2 trams will run with a 12-minute frequency until 2:30. If the event ends earlier than planned, a 2 tram will depart from Nagyállomás at 00:30, and a 1 tram at 00:40.
