Due to the extraordinary heatwave and the issued second-level heat alert, the tram track renovation work taking place at Kossuth tér will continue at night, even after the operational closure. According to the technological requirements of the execution, the temperature will drop below the appropriate level at this time for the completion of rail replacements, which is essential for the long-term safe maintenance of the tram transport infrastructure. Depending on the weather conditions, residents in the vicinity of the affected track section can expect noise-related work until approximately July 12, 2026.
