Changes to Tram Transportation During Carnival Week

Due to the accompanying events of the Debrecen Flower Carnival in the city center, the 1 and 2 trams will have altered schedules between August 19 and August 22, 2026. On August 19, Wednesday, from 17:00 to 23:00, and on August 21, Friday, and August 22, Saturday, from 19:00 to 23:00, the trams will operate in two sections between Debrecen Main Station – City Hall – Debrecen Main Station and Kálvin Square – University/Doberdó Street – Kálvin Square. During these times, tram service will be suspended between the City Hall and Kálvin Square stops. Purchased tickets remain valid after transfers, but must be validated on both vehicles.

On August 23, between 08:00 and 20:00, during the Flower Cart exhibition, trams will operate at a slower pace in the pedestrian area of Piac Street.
